Claude B. Pennington was a trustee of the Irene W. & C.B. Pennington Foundation, which was established by his grandfather to support Pennington Biomedical after he granted $125 million in startup funds in 1982. 

Mr. Pennington is a principal in Pennington Oil, the family energy business that originally funded his philanthropy work. He has a special interest in underwriting nonprofits and agencies that keep people safe and secure, freeing them to confidently go after their own dreams and participate positively in their towns and cities.
